As Memphis celebrates it's 200th anniversary of it's founding in 1819, the city has developed a strategic plan for growth in targeted areas. Propono Asset Management focus is to align with the city's plan and invest in these targeted, desirable areas for residents and investors. We secure properties in neighborhoods that are transforming and have been identified by the city as part of their strategic vision to improve the quality of life of it's residents. According to the city's strategic plan, they forecast that Memphis population is projected to increase by 10% by 2040. This will represent the largest increase since the 1960s.
Additionally, job growth in Memphis is projected to be steady through 2040. Memphis is home to FedEx World Headquarters, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Auto Zone, International Paper, Juice Plus+ and Hunter Fans to name a few. These organizations continually increase their workforce as they expand their operations. St. Jude will be adding a $412 million advanced research center opening in 2021. Amazon is opening two distribution centers adding additional jobs. All this job growth will allow the economy to expand in this region hence increasing the need for housing and providing an opportunity for investors to align with housing needs.
